Brevard
The Apollo Diner at 201 W. Hibiscus Blvd. in Melbourne shut down on June 18. Inspectors found 32 violations, eight of which were high priorities. Those violations included an employee touching ready-to-eat food with their bare hands, rodent activity, flying insects and food held at the wrong temperatures. A second inspection occurred the next day. There were six violations, but none was a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.
Orange
Ayiti Breeze Bar & Grill at 701 W. Lancaster Road in Orlando shut down on June 15. Inspectors found nine violations, one of which was high priority for a missing vacuum breaker. Two more inspections occurred on June 16. On the first inspection, there were seven violations, two of which were high priorities for a missing a vacuum breaker and food held at the wrong temperatures. Officials issued a time extension on both and the restaurant was permitted to reopen. A third and final inspection occurred the same day. There were two violations and none was a high priority.
Meng’s Kitchen at 2415 E. Colonial Dr., Suite D in Orlando shut down on June 18. Inspectors found four violations, two of which were high priorities for roach activity and a stop-sale on food due to it not being in wholesome condition. A second inspection occurred on June 19. There were two violations, one of which was a high priority for a stop-sale on food due to it not being in sound condition. Officials offered the restaurant a time extension and the restaurant met inspection standards.
Dya Ice Food Service at 4880 Distribution Court in Orlando shut down on June 15. Inspectors found 36 violations, five of which were high priorities. Those violations included flying insects, roach activity, rodent activity and an improperly stored toxic substance. A second inspection occurred on June 16. There were 14 violations, but none was a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Volusia
Jam Rock Country Style Jerk LLC at 1440 E Minnesota Ave. in Orange City shut down on June 12. Inspectors found 12 violations, two of which were high priorities for not having potable running water and an employee failing to wash their hands before putting gloves on to work with food. A second inspection occurred on June 18. There was one violation and it wasn’t a high priority. The food truck met inspection standards.
Total Inspections
Among all inspections across Central Florida, there were 1,664 violations total, including basic, intermediate and high violations.
Orange County had the most with 800, followed by Volusia with 247, Brevard with 236, Seminole with 186, Lake with 174 and Osceola with 21.
