Gas prices in Florida are rising again continuing a see-saw trend week to week.
As of Monday morning, the state average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas was $3.77, according to AAA. The national average was at $3.86 a gallon.

That’s 16 cents more than a week ago in the state, although 38 cents less than a month ago and more than 70 cents less than this year’s high, which was driven by the rise in oil prices and war in Iran. That came on May 7 before a staggered series of price drops tempered by price-hike rebounds over the last seven weeks amid on-again and off-again peace talks in the Middle East.
The price remains 82 cents more than this time last year.
Orange and Seminole counties were at $3.81 a gallon while Lake was $3.76, Osceola was $3.80, Volusia was $3.78, Brevard was $3.75 and Polk was $3.77.
The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.95), Miami ($3.78), Tallahassee ($3.63) and Fort Lauderdale ($3.83).

The cheapest markets are Pensacola ($3.44), Melbourne-Titusville ($3.75) and Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($3.45).
Florida’s record high price for gas came during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in summer 2022 when it hit $4.89 a gallon.
