He had followed a middle-schooler riding an e-bike onto school grounds after a brief exchange in which Pang called out to the youth to slow down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo,\u201d the youth retorted.<\/p>\n<p>Pang and the youth on the battery-assisted bicycle had first crossed paths near the Oviedo Aquatics Facility, about a mile and a half from the middle school where Pang ultimately confronted the youth and smacked a bicycle helmet off his head, a school resource officer said.<\/p>\n<p>The officer provided Oviedo police with surveillance video.<\/p>\n<p>According to a police report, Pang said he had followed the youth to the school to ask that he apologize.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/orlandorelocationreport.com\/?p=1199\">Maxwell: Candidates who collect signatures to get on the ballot have my respect<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pang\u2019s profile page on the university\u2019s website listed him as an associate professor at the school\u2019s College of Optics and Photonics and the winner of several awards since he joined the faculty. His research interests focused on developing imaging platforms for biological research, medical diagnosis, and industrial imaging applications in both visible and X\u2010ray regimes.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>A university spokesperson said his employment with UCF ended Nov. 10, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to terms of a diversion agreement signed last month by Pang, he must complete a 12-hour anger-management class, perform 20 hours of community service and pay a supervising fee of $450.
