At 6 p.m. May 28, join Orlando foodie influencer (and native Oregonian) Christina Thomas of Go Epicurista for a celebration of Oregon Wine Month.<\/p>\n

Produced in collaboration with Travel Medford, Rogue Valley Vintners and several acclaimed Willamette Valley wineries, guests will engage all five senses as they enjoy five tastes alongside artisanal cheeses, award-winning olive oils, chocolates and more, including Beaver State-themed treats crafted by Orlando-local confectioners.<\/p>\n

Unpretentiousness, says Thomas, is one of the things she loves most about wine from her home state, and that extends to the people who make it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can enjoy a glass of award-winning Oregon sparkling wine, made in the traditional Champenoise method, with popcorn drizzled with Durant olive oil, or an Oregon Pinot Noir with Harry & David Moose Munch or a Tillamook grilled cheese, just as easily as you can pair them with any elaborate dinner,\u201d says Thomas. \u201cThere is no shame in that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nor will there be in divining all that you can from the pours they\u2019ll be serving.<\/p>\n

Smell the complexity of pinot noirs, chardonnays and ros\u00e9s straight from the Willamette Valley and behold their jewel-toned colors. Enjoy the velvety sensations of cheese and chocolate. And of course, hear the stories of Oregon\u2019s award-winning winemakers, who Thomas says always put farmers first.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat commitment truly shows up in the bottle. You can\u2019t mistake an Oregon Pinot Noir with one from California,\u201d she says with pride. \u201cThere is a wonderful sense of place.\u201d<\/p>\n

OK, so the rooftop at The Good Pour isn\u2019t quite the same as the Dundee Hills. You won\u2019t see Mount Hood in the distance. But the feels? Thomas says the wine is enough to conjure them (and she\u2019s happy to dispense travel advice if you\u2019re planning your own getaway).<\/p>\n
