Use bottled water for cleaning contact lenses. Use water stored in the bathtub, from the pool, or from the tap to flush the toilet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BATHING<\/strong> or showering with tap water is fine, but don\u2019t let it get in your ears. If you shave with tap water, dab any cuts with antiseptic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STORE<\/strong> water in a dark place, with no air in the container. Don\u2019t use water that has a dark color, an odor or contains floating material.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISINFECT<\/strong> tap water you\u2019ll use for cooking or drinking. Always use clean containers. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Strain solids from water, boil at a rolling boil for 10 minutes.<br \/>\n\u2013 Let cool.<br \/>\n\u2013 Add a pinch of salt for taste.<br \/>\n\u2013 Pour the water back and forth between clean containers to reduce the flat taste.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>You can also use liquid chlorine to cleanse water:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Strain solids from water first.<br \/>\n\u2013 Use common household chlorine bleach, without lemon scent.<br \/>\n\u2013 Follow the instructions on the label.
