Central Florida has received a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 90s with a humidity that pushes peak afternoon heat indices to more than 105 degrees, according to NWS Melbourne. Winds are blowing south at 5 to 10 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.<\/p>\n

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms across portions of east Central Florida, including Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Brevard and most of Osceola for the afternoon and evening. Threats include lightning strikes, heavy downpours and wind gusts up to 55 mph are possible. A brief tornado can\u2019t be ruled out. The storms are expected mainly after 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
