Legoland Florida will play host to Lego Festival for the second time this summer. The 29-day event will include activities in five zones that the Winter Haven theme park tout as \u201cbigger, louder and more interactive\u201d than last year\u2019s inaugural fest.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s designed as a vibrant multi-area experience around the park, where children lead the way through play \u2013 with dedicated zones, build activities, live moments and plenty of chances to meet many different Lego characters,\u201d Brian Bacica, vice president of Legoland Florida Resort, said in a news release.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s fest will incorporate the Music Zone (with \u201cBattle of the Bands\u201d show);\u00a0 Creative Zone with Creatureverse brick build tables and Master Model Builder sessions; Chill Out Zone, a secret garden designed for a peaceful, plant-filled escape featuring Lego Botanicals and a new bug build plus \u201cPlaytime with Hopsy\u201d stage show;\u00a0Thrill Zone, a sports-themed area; and Play Zone, which Legoland calls the \u201cultimate gaming fan zone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the characters to be seen in zones will be Lego Panda, Lego Peacock, Melody Raye and Lyric Santos and \u201cselfie-friendly\u201d Lego figures.<\/p>\n

Visitors also can participate in the 3 Build Challenge, collecting stamps on the Lego Festival map for each zone. Folks that finish three or more exclusive festival brick-building activities, can pick up 3\u2011in\u20111 Lego Creator gift at the park.<\/p>\n

Lego Festival, included with regular Legoland Florida admission, runs from July 20 through Aug. 16. The event will also be available at\u00a0Legoland California, Legoland New York, Legoland Windsor and Legoland Deutschland.<\/p>\n
