WEST PALM BEACH (CBS12) \u2014 With the official renaming of Palm Beach International Airport just days away, travelers are beginning to see signs of the transition.<\/p>\n

Drivers started to notice updated signage on Thursday for President Donald J. Trump International Airport as the airport moves closer to its official name change on July 9. One of the most visible changes can be found along Interstate 95, where exit signs have been updated to reflect the airport\u2019s new name.<\/p>\n

Additional updates are planned throughout the airport as part of the rebranding effort. The airport\u2019s official name change is scheduled to take effect July 9. Its three-letter airport code, used by airlines for reservations, flight information and baggage handling, is expected to remain PBI until Aug. 18, when it is scheduled to transition to DJT.<\/p>\n

Airport officials have thanked passengers for their support as the transition moves forward.<\/p>\n
