The wedding of the decade, or at least of the holiday weekend heatwave, is reportedly upon us Friday as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s Midtown shutdown endures.<\/p>\n

Shortly after noon, W 31st St. was already closed off, as a crowd of what looked like hundreds of cops were lined up near the MSG entrance on 7th Ave. One community affairs cop told the Daily News that they were all assigned to the area for the wedding, for which the surrounding streets have been closed off through midday on Independence Day.<\/p>\n

The stars, both 36, are believed to be saying \u201cI do\u201d July 3 at the World\u2019s Most Famous Arena, or to at least be enjoying a massive reception in honor of recently tying the knot. Anywhere from 1,100 to 1,200 guests are expected to be in attendance, among them, endlessly recognizable faces including Selena Gomez, Adam Sandler, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, as well as executives from Disney and AMC Theatres.<\/p>\n

Neither the heatwave nor police contingent could keep Swifties away, with the Grammy winner\u2019s dedicated fans of all ages trying to sneak a peek.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to see Taylor,\u201d Remington, 9, visiting NYC from Houston Texas with her family, told The News outside MSG on 7th.<\/p>\n

Sarah Hopkin, 52, a self-proclaimed Swiftie visiting her \u201cfavorite city in the whole wide world\u201d from Oregon, told The News she would \u201cbe here all day and night,\u201d having flown in just for the star-studded occasion.<\/p>\n

Dubbing Swift \u201cone of the most positive women role models that any child, any gender, any race, anyone can participate with,\u201d Hopkin said that watching the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end together \u201cmakes life better,\u00a0in my opinion, and so I want to support the goodness that she\u2019s bringing to this world, and the love that the two of them have brought together.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I know I\u2019m not invited, it\u2019s not like I\u2019m some crazy Swiftie,\u201d Hopkin continued. \u201cIt\u2019s about being a part of the community, and it shows that we are all welcome, and that is very important during these dark times, especially in New York City.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Hopkin said she hopes to \u201ccatch a glimpse of Taylor,\u201d but would also be happy to sneak a peek \u201cof anything going in and out of this building today.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hoping with all my heart that they will put visuals up on these screens, like they did during the Knicks,\u201d said Hopkin.<\/p>\n

Tammy Bogard, 54, from Dallas, Texas \u2014 who\u2019d already planned to celebrate the holiday weekend in New York with her husband in before learning of the wedding location \u2014\u00a0similarly headed to the Garden for the Swiftie \u201cvibe\u201d and \u201cenergy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce you\u2019re around a group of Swifties, you know what the world is supposed to be like, and you always are chasing that again,\u201d Bogard told The News.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Bogard also had choice words for New Yorkers peeved about the disruption.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re so lucky you get to live in the greatest city in the world, where everybody wants to be. And yes, it\u2019s irritating when there\u2019s a parade or an event like this,\u201d said Bogard. \u201cI get that, but that\u2019s part of it. And the greatest feeling for them should be that they live in a city that is also safe enough to have an event like this and really kind of keep it under wraps somewhat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colorado-based Leah Moss, 18, a dedicated Swiftie who attended both the Eras and Reputation tours, is in the city for a summer program and stopped by to \u201csee if I could see anything going on,\u201d after TikTokers posted about \u201ctrucks being unloaded\u201d at the \u201cawesome venue.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited for her. I don\u2019t know, it\u2019s crazy that it\u2019s actually\u2026 I didn\u2019t really believe it was actually gonna happen here, but it seems that it is,\u201d said Moss.<\/p>\n

Parnika Thulluri, also 18, and visiting from Texas, grew up \u201ca huge fan\u201d and finds it \u201cinteresting\u201d to be staying in such close proximity to where Swift is reportedly tying the knot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know she\u2019s been through a lot in her life, especially writing all her albums about her past relationships, so it\u2019s cool to get to see that she\u2019s finally found her person, getting to settle down.\u201d<\/p>\n

Happy though Thulluri is happy for the \u201cLove Story\u201d crooner, she \u201cwould think she would be more private about\u201d her selection of venue: \u201cBut like if it makes her happy, then sure, and I\u2019m sure she\u2019d be able to transform it with the resources that she has, so it\u2019s cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Around 1 p.m., TMZ cited reports that Swift had been photographed leaving Hadid\u2019s apartment, which signaled the bridal party was already on the move.<\/p>\n

One guest told Variety the wedding was \u201ca really fun s\u2013t show,\u201d given the limited information available to attendees.<\/p>\n

Another guest, who\u2019d rather spend the Fourth in the Hamptons, was less amused, asking, \u201cThis couldn\u2019t have been a destination wedding?\u201d<\/p>\n
