Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Rivertree Circle, about two miles east of The Mall at Millenia, at about 8 p.m, according to a release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound, the agency said. It later identified him as Jackson Pharell Jones. The teen was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, its statement said.
