Miami (38-18) was picked for the Gainesville regional, hosted by Florida (39-19), to start the NCAA baseball tournament. The field was announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.
Troy (32-29) and Rider (33-18) are the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively.
UM will face Troy at 6 p.m. on Friday in Gainesville.
The Hurricanes reached the ACC tournament semifinals before being eliminated by top-seeded Georgia Tech, which went on to win the conference tournament.

This is the second straight year Miami has made the NCAA tournament after missing the 2024 tournament completely. Last year, Miami escaped the Hattiesburg regional by beating host Southern Miss. UM advanced to the super regionals, where it fell to Louisville in three games. The Hurricanes have not reached the College World Series since 2016.
