On Sunday, the state average for a gallon of gas was $4.07, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.
That’s 32 cents less than a week ago, 9 cents less than a month ago and 96 cents more than this time last year.
“We’ve seen oil prices pull back over the past couple of weeks as hopes grow that the U.S. and Iran are nearing an agreement that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz,” said spokesman Mark Jenkins.

The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($4.28), Gainesville ($4.23) and Tallahassee ($4.22).
The least expensive metro markets are Pensacola ($3.85), The Villages ($3.88) and Panama City ($3.92).
