A small plane crashed Saturday in Kissimmee sending two people on board to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Kissimmee Fire Department.

The agency responded to the call of the downed aircraft at 2:59 p.m. in the area of West Clay Street and South John Young Parkway, according to a press release.

The multi-agency response included the Kissimmee Police Department and Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.

“Due to dense vegetation and limited access to the crash site, aviation support from the Sheriff’s Office was utilized to help guide first responders to the downed aircraft, identified as a Cessna C150 and carrying two occupants,” the release stated.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident and determine the cause of the crash, the release stated.
