A Puerto Rican restaurant in Osceola County was evacuated Monday evening after a suspicious device was found, according to sheriff’s deputies.

The device was discovered around 6:15 p.m. at Piocos Chicken Restaurant on Boggy Creek Road. Deputies responded to the scene and safely evacuated the restaurant, the sheriff’s office said in a news release an hour after the incident.

The restaurant is located near the intersection with Narcoossee Road, about five minutes south of Lake Nona Middle School. Boggy Creek Road was closed in both directions as of Monday evening. No other information was included in the release.
