A man is dead and two people were hospitalized Monday in a neighborhood just outside Kissimmee in a shooting that Osceola County detectives believe is a “domestic-related incident.”

Deputies were called to a townhome-style apartment on Sheffield Circle around 5:19 p.m., where they found a mother, 38, and her 18-year-old son shot with serious injuries, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The man, identified Tuesday as 33-year-old Garshard Strong of Kissimmee, was found dead from “an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Capt. Kim Montes said in a release Monday night.

The woman is in critical condition while her son is in serious condition as of Tuesday morning. Their names and their ties to Strong have not been released.
“Detectives continue to investigate what led up to the shooting but believe it involved a domestic-related incident,” Montes said.
