A Florida man has been arrested for impersonating a cop and conducting a fake traffic stop on an undercover vehicle.

Officials charged Nadi Jabari, 46, of Temple Terrace, with false impersonation, unlawful use of blue light and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, a black Chevrolet Suburban followed an undercover Sheriff’s Office vehicle on U.S. Highway 301 in Thonotosassa.
The SUV activated the emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop.

Deputies quickly intervened and conduced their own traffic stop.
A body camera video shows deputies approaching the vehicle on the driver’s side and asking Jabari to roll down his window.

Jabari exits the vehicle and authorities picked up the emergency lights.
The video also shows deputies arresting Jabari and a photo of what they found in the vehicle, which included the previously mentioned illegal emergency light setup, an additional two-foot emergency light bar and a gun.
Sheriff Chad Chronister said Jabari’s actions were “dangerous, deliberate and illegal.”

Authorities said this is an ongoing investigation.
