Orlando’s newest soccer star attacked his real estate search like he would an open net, without hesitation.

Antoine Griezmann just bought a lakefront home in Windermere’s Keene’s Pointe for $6 million, according to a report in GrowthSpotter.

“It was a very quick and very decisive decision for the buyer,” said listing agent Mike Stewart with Southern Realty Group. “They had picked out two houses, one in Isleworth and one in Keene’s Pointe, and they chose the one in Keene’s Pointe.”

The French superstar signed with Orlando City in March for a deal through the 2027-28 season. He was part of the 2018 French team that won the FIFA World Cup and was the runner-up in 2022, retiring from international competition in 2024. Griezmann played professionally for several Spanish La Liga teams, most recently Atlético Madrid, where he was the all-time leading scorer.

He and his wife, Erika Choperena, have four children, and this house on 2.21 acres on Lake Tibet fits one of their needs perfectly.

“His wife loved it and [with] the four kids, they can build a soccer field back there,” Stewart said. “It’s not a full soccer field, but [they will] be able to have a good-sized soccer field”

The 6,257-square-foot house was built in 2007. The sellers bought it in 2024 for $3.8 million and embarked on a year-long renovation to give it a sleeker and more modern look.

“They knocked a couple of walls out upstairs and opened up one of the bedrooms to make it more of a larger game room and basically renovated from top to bottom,” Stewart told GrowthSpotter, adding he sold the home initially to the recent sellers.

“I was blown away after I saw the final product, because when they first bought it, it was very, very traditional [with] dark cherry woods,” he said. “After I saw it, it was stunning, and it was kind of a little bit ahead of its time as far as the décor. It was just done so well.”

Stewart is working with the sellers to purchase another home in Keene’s Pointe to renovate. It will be their eighth such project.

“They just love to do renovation work and then be able to resell stuff.”

The most recent project now has five bedrooms and five full bathrooms in a newer style.

“People are moving more towards that transitional style with more what I would call softer colors versus the typical white and gray,” he explained. “A lot of people are putting in the white oak flooring but then going with darker cabinets, like this house did.”

The outdoor kitchen area is close to the house, and the large pool is uncovered with decorative details around it, adding to the home’s architectural details.

“I think the architectural style really sets itself apart from a lot of the homes in the neighborhood,” Stewart said. “The way it is set back further on the lot off of the road, the four-car garage, a very long wide driveway, and the pillars in the front that you don’t traditionally see on most homes in Florida, so that’s what kind of made it unique.”

At the time of his signing with Orlando City, Griezmann said in a statement, “I look forward to making Orlando my new home, meeting the supporters, feeling the energy at Inter&Co Stadium, and giving everything I have to help the team achieve great things.”

He will join the team next month, and the family will not have much to move from overseas.

“It did sell fully furnished,” Stewart said. “[The Griezmann family] literally walked in with the silverware still in the drawer. I think that was one of the appealing things, too, for the house. It saved them from having to go furniture shopping.”
