Mel’s Family Diner at 3221 S. Orlando Dr. in Sanford shut down on July 29. Inspectors found three violations, two of which were high priorities for operating with an expired license and rodent activity. A second inspection occurred on July 30. There were two violations, one of which was a high priority for the expired license. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Total Inspections

Among all inspections across Central Florida, there were 2,497 violations total, including basic, intermediate and high violations.

Orange County had the most with 1,092, followed by Volusia with 511, Seminole with 266, Osceola with 224, Lake with 205 and Brevard with 199.
