Why was Fauci demonized?
Dr. Anthony Fauci is a world-renowned immunologist and infectious-disease doctor. He has served as an adviser to every U.S. president since Ronald Reagan. George W. Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work on the PEPFAR AIDS program, which saved over 20 million lives. Donald Trump gave him a Presidential Commendation for his development of the COVID vaccine during Operation Warp Speed, which saved countless more lives.

Rand Paul has seemingly waged a vendetta against Fauci for years, vowing to put him in prison and using his public criticism of the doctor as a primary fundraising strategy. Paul’s Senate hearing last week was the culmination of his witch hunt, a show trial designed solely to embarrass a respected 50-year civil servant. GOP Senate jackals were in full attack mode, excoriating Fauci mercilessly while he pled the Fifth Amendment to avoid being entrapped and accused of perjury. It appears that Fauci became the Republican scapegoat for Trump’s inept handling of the pandemic.
Fauci’s only crime, in my view, was reliance on science and medicine in his role as leader of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. If only he had agreed with Trump’s “novel” cure suggestions, he never would have been subjected to such abject humiliation. Why, yes, we could shine a powerful light inside the body! Yes, Mr. President, I will look into injecting disinfectant! I think taking a horse anti-parasitic drug is an excellent idea! How utterly preposterous. Nothing short of blind, unfettered loyalty to Dear Leader would have prevented Dr. Fauci’s public hanging.

Keep rockets out of oceans
I don’t understand why we allow super-hot SpaceX rockets to land in our oceans as if they were landing pads.
The oceans are already overheated, killing coral and fish. A lot of wildlife live in the oceans. It’s bad enough that we’re dredging, and we have bombs and ballistic missiles going off everywhere and landing in our oceans.
No wonder we have so many wildfires and earthquakes. You can’t keep pummeling the Earth. We have to protect it. It’s where we live.
Forget about space. Right now, we’re overheating and everything’s dying. I don’t want to go live in space; I want to live here. Stop the madness!

Vote for candidates with ethical standards
Wake up, Americans: vote for regeneration, not destruction.
What happens when tariffs increase costs, regulations designed to protect workers are gutted and government agencies are arbitrarily downsized or eliminated? Ordinary Americans become collateral damage: the victims of rising prices and declining government services.
What happens when billionaires buy elections and favorable treatment, including tax cuts and no-bid contracts, and the president uses his office to punish states whose citizens did not vote for him? Ordinary Americans lose the guardrails designed to protect their rights and prevent abuses of power.
What happens when the president politicizes the Defense Department and weaponizes the Justice Department, sends clear messages that he and his supporters are above the law, and weakens the policies and soft power initiatives that have shaped this country and the world since 1946? It seems to me like the Golden Rule is replaced by the Iron Rule, allies no longer trust America, and the world becomes more unstable and dangerous.
To save the world’s oldest democracy, I believe ordinary Americans must vote to limit the ability of the wealthy and the well-connected to manipulate the economy, sabotage the government and destroy America’s future. Ordinary Americans must reject political candidates who lack a moral compass, demonize those who disagree with them, and prioritize money and power over decency and democracy. Ordinary Americans must vote for candidates with integrity who, when elected, will rebuild the ethical and legal guardrails that protect all Americans: candidates whose goal is to help America regenerate, not destroy itself.
