Rising oil prices continue driving up the price of gas.
Florida gas prices have surged to more than $4 per gallon for first time since June 1, 2026, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.

Sunday’s state average of $4.14 per gallon is 23 cents more than a week ago, 19 cents more than a month ago an $1.18 more than a year ago.
Mark Jenkins, a spokesman for AAA, said tensions in the Middle East are increasing the cost of producing gasoline.
“Florida drivers are now seeing those higher costs reflected at the pump,” he said. “If oil prices remain elevated, motorists could face additional upward pressure on gas prices this week.”

The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($4.30), Gainesville ($4.21) and Naples ($4.19).
The least expensive metro markets are Panama City ($3.97), Pensacola ($3.97) and Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($3.98).
