The “My Best Friend Wine Label Contest” returns for its 13th year, giving pet parents the opportunity to have their cat or dog featured on a bottle of wine.
Entries are accepted through July 19 ($5 fee per entry), with voting open July 20-Aug. 2. The contest raises funds for the organization, as each vote is cast with a $1 donation.
“Every pet has a story worth celebrating, and the My Best Friend Wine Label Contest gives our community the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the furry family members they love, while helping pets who are still waiting for their furever homes,” said Lindsay Framstead, Pet Alliance’s interim executive director. “Every participant is making a meaningful difference by supporting the lifesaving care, shelter and resources Pet Alliance provides to animals in need. We can’t wait to see this year’s adorable contenders and their proud pet parents go all out to take home the top prize.”
The dog and cat with the most votes will be featured with a photo, name and short story on the wine label for the 2026 “My Best Friend Rescue Red Wine” from Quantum Leap. Last year, the winery moved from its former location in Orlando’s Mills 50 District to a new location on Lake Fairview to focus on winemaking and selling bottles online.
Grand prize winners receive a case (12 bottles) of wine and a feature in the Pet Alliance “Wags and Whiskers” newsletter. Runners-up in each category will be awarded prizes, as well.

Pet Alliance has raised nearly $450,000 from the contest. The organization helps more than 4,000 homeless dogs and cats each year by providing shelter, veterinary care, a pet food pantry, adoptions and education on animal welfare.
In March, Pet Alliance opened its new 25,000-square-foot shelter on John Young Parkway, a modern space with room for 275 animals. The nonprofit is around $170,000 away from reaching its $15 million fundraising goal for the new Orlando shelter and closing its Almost Home Campaign.
