That was the case in February 2025 when former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton came to Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville.
Bush and Clinton, former political rivals, became good friends in their post-presidencies. They also used their star-power to shine a light on important charitable issues, such as raising funds for victims of 2024 South Asia tsunami.

Clinton and Bush appeared on Fox-TV’s Super Bowl pre-game show to talk the tsunami and how to donate money. The also appeared on the field before the game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bush and Clinton would continue their joint efforts for charity in later years, supporting a funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, a devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010 and other causes.
