Oregon Wine Country is coming to Orlando, and for a very reasonable $25, you’re invited to take a five-wine tasting tour of some good pours, courtesy of, not surprisingly, The Good Pour in Winter Park, where a portion of your purchases helps support local charities of your choice.

At 6 p.m. May 28, join Orlando foodie influencer (and native Oregonian) Christina Thomas of Go Epicurista for a celebration of Oregon Wine Month.
Produced in collaboration with Travel Medford, Rogue Valley Vintners and several acclaimed Willamette Valley wineries, guests will engage all five senses as they enjoy five tastes alongside artisanal cheeses, award-winning olive oils, chocolates and more, including Beaver State-themed treats crafted by Orlando-local confectioners.
Unpretentiousness, says Thomas, is one of the things she loves most about wine from her home state, and that extends to the people who make it.
“You can enjoy a glass of award-winning Oregon sparkling wine, made in the traditional Champenoise method, with popcorn drizzled with Durant olive oil, or an Oregon Pinot Noir with Harry & David Moose Munch or a Tillamook grilled cheese, just as easily as you can pair them with any elaborate dinner,” says Thomas. “There is no shame in that.”
Nor will there be in divining all that you can from the pours they’ll be serving.
Smell the complexity of pinot noirs, chardonnays and rosés straight from the Willamette Valley and behold their jewel-toned colors. Enjoy the velvety sensations of cheese and chocolate. And of course, hear the stories of Oregon’s award-winning winemakers, who Thomas says always put farmers first.

“That commitment truly shows up in the bottle. You can’t mistake an Oregon Pinot Noir with one from California,” she says with pride. “There is a wonderful sense of place.”
OK, so the rooftop at The Good Pour isn’t quite the same as the Dundee Hills. You won’t see Mount Hood in the distance. But the feels? Thomas says the wine is enough to conjure them (and she’s happy to dispense travel advice if you’re planning your own getaway).
Founders take their mix of wine, spirits and philanthropy to more Central Florida cities
“I spend every summer in Oregon visiting my family and exploring wine country every chance I get,” she says. “From Portland and the Willamette Valley in the north to Medford and the Rogue Valley in the south, there’s lots of great food and wine. While I tend to always return to my favorite family-owned wineries, many of whose winemakers have become friends, I love finding new favorites.”
She’s hoping she can help you find some, too.
