An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport Sunday afternoon, causing a full ground stop that halts all flights.

Anyone heading for the airport to fly out or pick up passengers should check with the airline. Also, Northwest 67th Avenue is closed from 25th Street to 36th Street.
The FAA said flight 7598 from Miami-based 21 Air, a Boeing 767-300 from San Juan, Puerto Rico, overran the runway after landing at MIA around 2 p.m.
Photos and video showed the plane crossing Northwest 67th Avenue, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the plane “struck multiple vehicles.”

The resulting fire sent large puffs of black smoke into the air.
As the situation unfolded, a firefighter was heard on the radio telling his colleagues, “The plane is on fire. The plane is on fire. Put your game faces on guys.”
MDFR said at 3:10 p.m., “Firefighters are working on extinguishing the fire, and there are multiple patients. This is an active scene with over 60 MDFR units responding. We will provide additional updates on patients as they become available.”
