The Orange County courthouse was placed on lockdown Wednesday after shots were fired in the building’s parking garage. Deputies are still searching for the suspect.

Deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to the courthouse garage after reports of shots fired at the downtown Orlando facility on Orange Avenue. They found a woman who had been shot at by a man she knew, although she was not injured, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The man fled the scene. Law enforcement was still searching for him as of 1 p.m. The courthouse complex was placed on lockdown so deputies can sweep the area, the release said.
