The Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ it received multiple calls “regarding an individual who was live-streaming acts of self harm on social media,” triggering their response to Hilton’s residence in Miami. When they arrived on the scene, officers spoke with his family, who told them he was alone inside the home.
Deputies were ultimately ordered to “tactically disengage,” and they “continue to keep an eye on the situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” it continued. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”
Video from Hilton’s neighborhood taken by NBC South Florida show a slew of sheriff’s patrol vehicles parked along a street blocked off by yellow tape.
The livestream, clips of which quickly began to circulate online Tuesday night, have since been pulled from TikTok.
The co-CEOs of the talent management firm that represents Hilton, Golden Artists Entertainment, said in a statement to NBC that they were “aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client.”

“At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him,” the statement continued. “Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well being, as well as the well being of his family.”
Born Mario Lavandeira, Hilton shot to fame in the early 2000s with his celebrity blog, where he often exposed scandals, secrets and gossip about some of Hollywood’s biggest names, often courting controversy with his condescending and harshly critical style. Then, in 2010, he vowed that he would be a bit nicer to his subjects in a bid to curb bullying among teenagers.
“I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem,” he told Ellen Degeneres on her show “Ellen.”
Hilton has also recently been open some serious health struggles he has faced over the course of the year. In March, he shared photos of himself in a hospital bed at the Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Clark County, Nevada, captioning it, “March madness indeed! Have I got a story to tell.” He later revealed that he spent 21 days at the facility to receive treatment for a severe case of sepsis.
The following month, he said he was hospitalized again for “a deep vein thrombosis on my right leg.”
Despite undergoing emergency surgery to have the clot removed, Hilton told fans he remained in severe pain, describing it as an “11 out of 10.”
