SeaWorld Orlando is marking Shark Appreciation Week with extra activities, including educational and conservation-centered experiences, at the theme park through Saturday, Aug. 1.

There will be daily aquarist talks at the park’s Shark Shallows with animal experts sharing shark facts and how the park cares for its animals. The sessions are scheduled for 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. through Friday.
“Pinkfong and Baby Shark’s FIN-Tastic Adventure,” a stage show featuring Baby Shark and Pinkfong characters (plus meet-and-greets) continues through Sept. 7. This week, visitors can also get a photo with Sydney Shark, an old-school walk-around character, near the Shark Encounter attraction.
On the food and beverage front, the park is selling MacAttack Shark Bites, Baby Shark Cookie Dippin’ Dots, Shark Fin PB&J Sandwiches and more. The over-21 set can purchase the limited-time Shark Margarita at Sharks Underwater Grill bar.
Annual passholders, Fun Card owners, military-pass members and others can purchase a Guy Harvey stock card for $5. Net proceeds support the Guy Harvey Foundation’s shark conservation and research missions.
SeaWorld also is noting that it’s the 10-year anniversary of the opening of its shark-themed roller coaster, Mako. The thrill ride has been the fastest (73 mph) and tallest coaster (peaking at 200 feet) in Orlando for a decade now.

Times vary for these activities and can be verified on SeaWorld’s app and website. The park also hosts non-shark keeper talks throughout the day. The park is in the midst of its Electric Ocean promotion, which includes the “Hydro Surge” stage show, Club SeaGlow dance party at Bayside Stadium, “Sea Lions Tonite” comedy presentation, “Shamu’s Light Up the Night” show and the end-of-night “Ignite” fireworks and a new drone show.
As always, the theme park offers Shark Encounter, a walk-through shark habitat that’s included with regular admission, and Sharks Underwater Grill, a full-service restaurant with sealife views.
