A Six Flags theme park will be the new home for a former Fun Spot roller coaster. Six Flags Entertainment Corp. has acquired ArieForce One, a steel coaster that operated at Fun Spot Atlanta from 2023 until the attraction shut down last month.

The company did not say at which of its parks the ride would be rebuilt, and a purchase price has not been announced.
“This is a ride that consistently generated excitement, acclaim and passionate fan support,” Mark Pauls, chief operating officer of Six Flags, said in a news release. “We are thrilled to preserve its legacy, invest in its future and bring this extraordinary attraction to a new generation of guests. This acquisition represents our commitment to delivering world-class thrills and creating unforgettable experiences across the Six Flags portfolio.”
The coaster, manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, features a top speed of 64 mph and tops out at 146 feet. Its track includes four inversions. Its construction price reportedly was $13 million. Six Flags said it plans to reopen the coaster during the 2028-2029 operating seasons.
Fun Spot: 2027 season passes also good for rest of 2026
“Seeing ArieForce One preserved and finding a new home with Six Flags means a great deal to me and my family,” said John Arie Jr., CEO of Orlando-based Fun Spot America. “Its story isn’t ending, it’s beginning a new chapter, and we are excited that future generations will get to experience ArieForce One.”
The ride was first announced during the IAAPA Expo at Orange County Convention Center in 2021.

The thrill ride was named in honor of Fun Spot founder John Arie Sr., and Six Flags plans to keep the ArieForce One name.
Among Six Flags’ current theme parks are Carowinds in Charlotte; Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia; Kings Island and Cedar Point in Ohio; Six Flags Magic Mountain of Southern California; Six Flags over Texas in Arlington, location of company headquarters; and Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario. The company says it operates more than 250 roller coasters across its 20 theme parks.
The shutdown of Fun Spot Atlanta, located in Fayetteville, was announced in June. The company took over the former Fun Junction USA and renamed it in 2017. Fun Spot continues to operate its parks in Kissimmee and near Orlando’s International Drive.
