And Orlando fans aren’t the only ones who notice Stuff’s sneaky shenanigans.
His energy, charisma and showmanship were honored this week when Stuff was named the 2026 NBA Mascot of the Year at the annual NBA Mascot Conference, it was announced Tuesday. The recognition marks the third time Stuff has won the league-wide award, which is voted on by his peers across the NBA.
The Magic mascot previously won the award in 2016 and 2017 when he became the first-ever back-to-back winner in the award’s history.
The Magic’s mascot’s complete skillset was once again on full display last season with highlights including his “Play the Song” moments when the Magic win to garner him the 2025-26 NBA Digital Content Award and his “Choices Nope – Yep” posts to capture the 2025-26 NBA Video of the Year Award. Stuff became the only mascot across the league to win multiple awards this season.

The NBA Mascot Awards debuted in 2005 at the mascot conference. The conference provides an opportunity for NBA mascots to continue to innovate and share ideas on game day skits, the newest props and outfits.
Entering his 38th season as one of the most recognizable mascots in professional sports, Stuff has made multiple appearances on nationally recognized shows and been a part of American pop culture since his first appearance in 1989.
Stuff garners nearly 75,000 followers on Instagram and another 11,000 followers on X. He’s made appearances on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” and “SportsCenter’s” Top Ten Plays for his high-profile pranks and dunks.
