Political or civic experience:

I offer proven civic leadership, executive management, and deep community roots in Howey-in-the-Hills, where I have lived since October 2015. My background includes serving as a Town Councilor, a retired Air Force Colonel with 28 years of service, and a defense management consultant.

During my time on the Town Council, I delivered tangible results:
– Lowered Taxes: I twice voted to reduce the property tax millage, successfully bringing the town’s tax rate down to its lowest level in 17 years.
– Secured Clean Water: I successfully sponsored a new water well and pump, ensuring our community has adequate clean water for current residents and planned growth.
– Enhanced Pedestrian Safety: I persuaded the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to construct a new pedestrian safety crosswalk at zero cost to our town.

What is your top priority if elected?

My top priority is to secure our water infrastructure by finalizing the new pipeline connecting our water pump stations and completing the approved renovation of the existing pump facility. While infrastructure projects may not be glamorous, ensuring a reliable and clean water supply is of critical importance to the future of Howey-in-the-Hills.

What makes you the best candidate in the race?

I bring two years of direct experience to the Howey Town Council, where I have successfully helped our community navigate pressing concerns. My track record ranges from securing our drinking water to providing strict oversight so that newly proposed subdivisions strictly adhere to their approved development plans.

What other issues would you tackle while in office?

I will focus on promoting responsible commercial development. By bringing in essential services that our residents need, we can expand our local economy and reduce the town’s over-reliance on residential property taxes.
